Blink Blink Blink

In the blink of an eye, we will be turning our back to 2024 in less than a month…

And my last post was in Dec 2023! How can this be....

Did not manage to pick up the momentum to blog regularly this entire 2024. Checked through my drafts and discovered 3 posts inside...

1 post was time sensitive so probably will get to post that later on in 2025.

1 post was people sensitive so it was mainly a rant from me that cannot be posted as it may be ..... sensitive to some people.

1 last post was discussed with family to do some fact check and in the end, we decided not to post it.

But still, no excuses for being away for so long. Schedules will always be packed and there will always be something to be done, someone to meet, and a project to be completed.

You will always find time to do the things you place importance in.

So, no excuses. I can do better.

I realised one main obstacle that is preventing me from blogging too often is that I gave myself the expectation that each blog post has to be:

• related to a recent incident

• sharing about at least one parenting tip

• of a decent length

That gave me the unintended pressure to keep up the 'standard' of each blog post which ultimately led to ..... a death of posts in 2024.....

Thus I decided that in order to be able to blog regularly, I will have to adjust my own expectations. The posts need not be too lengthy and it can be just short posts of little lessons / thanksgiving / encouragement garnered from small daily happenings.

And hopefully you will see more of y2king in 2025 and beyond and we will continue to be a little blessing for all of you through the little things that we share.
